April 10, 2009 · For those of us who have been using twitter for awhile and are starting to get into the groove, I threw together a list of 10 Twitter commandments to keep you on the right track and keep you from committing Twitter blasphemy.

Going to the dentist can be frightening to many patients.  This is particularly true if you know that you have periodontal (gum) disease. How can you tell? Well, if your gums bleed when you brush or bite into a crisp apple, then you probably do have some form of periodontal disease.  Only your dentist can evaluate whether that is at an early stage called Gingivitis, where only the gum tissue is inflamed and the problem is easily reversed with a good “Professional Dental Cleaning” by a trained Registered Dental Hygienist or your Dentist. If there is more advanced Periodontitis where the attachment of the gums to the tooth is lower on the root due to bone loss, then more treatment than a routine cleaning my be needed.  Sometimes the loss of support for the teeth is obvious as gingival (gum) recession and the roots of the teeth are exposed, but sometimes the problem is more hidden with the recession under the gumline creating a periodontal pocket.  This pocket breeds a more aggressive mix of bacteria that will accelerate the bone loss and if untreated will lead to increased tooth mobility and eventual loss of the tooth. I’ve been very busy with Developing short video’s for my Dental practice and posting them on YouTube and 20 other video hosting sites.  I have begun to use Twitter to increase my web presence and my videographer, Brian O’Neill works on using Facebook and Craigslist, as well as a free website generator and host (more details when I see the stats on visitors and conversions to callers to my dental office and scheduled patients actually getting their dental appointment.)

The bottom line is the Web 2.o with media rich content using the Social Media sites and blogging are important activities to get the word out about your business.
