If you don’t want to learn the programming languages of the internet (the simplest is HTML which stands for HyperText Markup Language — the .htm or .html at the end of most web addresses) then you want to use an editor or program that handles the generation of the HTML code, based on the Visual Text you produce.
For simple one page sites, you can create your page in Microsoft Word (assuming your computer runs Windows) and under the File Menu you select “Save As a Web Page” and give it a name. By default on most host servers, your first web page is index.htm or index.html In that way, when someone types in www.YourWebName.com the file that is displayed automatically is www.YourWebName.com/index.htm
